Tatsuno Sakura Festival

Tatsuno holds a spring festival every year on April 1st. Elementary school students dress up as samurai and march through town from the city offices to the shrine. I went to watch and saw loads of my students taking part. The atmosphere was fantastic and made me think if I could get involved next year. So I asked my Japanese mum about it. Apparently I can be a samurai next year!
