Valentines Day in Japan
In Japan Valentines Day is for men. It's as simple as that. Women give presents to men and men are expected to give nothing in return (well, not until White Day which is 14 March). It gets better... gifts are not only received from loved ones, but also from any female you know. The trouble is that I don't know many girls in Japan!... well, not enough. I should start recruiting soon with next February in mind! When the gift is from a friend it's nearly always chocolate. The Japanese have a word for this chocolate and it roughly translates to something like "obligation chocolate", and is normally bought from the shops as opposed to homemade chocolate which means more... apparently.

Here's some choc I received from a friend.
